Admissions 2025–26

Navodaya Vidya Niketan invites applications for admission to all classes for the Academic Year 2025–26. We are currently accepting applications for Nursery, LKG, Class I, and selected classes from II to XII where vacancies exist. Our admission process is transparent, fair, and child-friendly.

Eligibility Criteria

Nursery: Minimum age 3 years as of 1st June 2025 LKG: Minimum age 4 years as of 1st June 2025 UKG: Minimum age 5 years as of 1st June 2025 Class I: Minimum age 6 years as of 1st June 2025 Classes II and above: Students must have passed the previous class from a recognised school. Transfer Certificate and Progress Report from the previous school are mandatory. Higher Secondary (Plus One): Minimum 60% in SSLC for Science stream; 50% for Commerce stream.

Admission Process

Collect or download the Application Form from the school office or this website.

Fill the form completely and attach all required documents.

Submit the completed application at the school office during working hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Saturday).

Interact with our admissions team. For Classes I and above, a simple interaction session may be scheduled.

If selected, fees are to be paid and admission is confirmed within 3 working days.

Collect admission slip and stationery list from the office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a donation or capitation fee?

No. Navodaya Vidya Niketan does not collect any form of donation, capitation fee, or unauthorized charges. All fees are officially prescribed and receipts are provided.

Is transport facility available?

Yes, we have school buses operating on several routes covering Kanhangad town, Uduma, Nileshwar, Cheruvathur, and nearby areas. Contact the school office for route details.

Is there a uniform shop at the school?

Yes, the school uniform, shoes, and school bags are available at the school cooperative store at subsidised rates.

Do you offer any scholarships?

Yes. Merit scholarships are offered to top-ranking students in each class. Government scholarships such as the Vidyasamunnathi Scholarship are also facilitated for eligible students.

What is the medium of instruction?

The medium of instruction is English. Malayalam is taught as First Language. Hindi is compulsory up to Class X.

Are there hostels available?

Hostel facilities are currently not available. We are planning to open a hostel in the next academic year. Parents are advised to contact the office for updates.
